According to information received from Moyale, the Borana militias opened fire on unsuspecting two vehicle carrying passengers with machine guns.

Less than a week ago two Gabra owned commercial trucks were ambushed, robbed and destroyed by the Borana mobs and militias. Today, two Garri owned vehicles carrying an unspecified number of passengers were ambushed by the Borana clan militias at Tarbbe Holale on 12/04/2013 at about 8:00 AM local time. Luckily no one was killed, but 3 passengers were injured. Both vehicles escaped after the security personnel on board fought back.  

The sporadic fighting between the two warring clans has made the Moyale-Marsabit road so dangerous to travel on that all commercial vehicles and buses are at a standstill.  Those who dare to travel have been either killed or escaped with injuries.
