NIGHT TERROR HAVE BEGAN IN Mandera County and Moyale district, Southern Ethiopia April 11, 2014 by Gur Gharri On Thursday April 10, 2014, Mandera town local government building and Rhamo towns were attacked by Degodia and Al Shabab operatives. Two security officers were captured, but they let one of them go and the other was killed. The officer who was freed is a Degodia clansman and the one they murdered is said to be from the Murale clan. However, there are no casualties reported from the attack on Rhamo. Also, a week ago the Oromo rebels attacked Ethiopian militias near Moyale town at Harbale, killing one guard and injuring 3 others. According to information received from Moyale, the government solders followed the perpetrators footprints and caught up with them at Tuqa. It was said that those perpetrators are known region 4 Oromo militias. Subsequently, fighting ensued and 8 rebels were killed while the rest escaped. The government soldiers are still pursuing the Oromo rebels.
