| Tuesday February 03, 2009 On January 30, 2009, two Gharri men were brutally murdered by Oromo gunmen near Wachile, Huddett District. The men were killed as they finished selling their herds on their way home. Also, in a disparate land grabbing attempt, the Oromo region militias captured Boji Kalaf Village and began drilling without getting permission from the Gharri. They were asked to stop drilling and leave the area immediately but, they ignored the Gharri’s demand. Subsequently, the Gharri militia fought back and killing five enemy combatants and captured two automatic machineguns along with an unspecified numbers of ammunitions. Their rig was also, destroyed thereafter. So, full-fledged war is feared to erupt at any moment.
