According to information received from the Gharri district, the Gharri people are not permitted by the Ogaden people to run for any office there in Garissa County. Also, the Gharri people are not allowed to build any dwelling beside hut in Wajir County. In some instance, the Gharri people have been told  not to bury their dead there. So why do the Gharri people allow the Degodia transgressors to occupy and hold public office in our ancestral lands? They are not only occupying our ancestral lands, but also continuing to disrespect and kill our people. I believe the Gharri people have overlooked the follow ayat: As it is permitted by Allah the almighty.  Therefore, the Gharri people should follow the letter of the Allah’s law.

Oftentimes, the Gharri people’s goodwill and forgiveness has been mistaken for weakness and it is time for us to speak out against this injustice.
